About stellarbettingapps.com

My name is Trevor Liddle, and I’ve been covering the sports betting industry for the better part of two decades. I started out writing for print publications before moving into digital, and somewhere along the way I became genuinely obsessed with what separates a great betting app from a mediocre one. That obsession is what this site is built on.

Why I Built This Site

The US sports betting market has exploded since PASPA was overturned in 2018. Dozens of operators flooded in almost overnight, each one claiming to be the best option for American bettors. The reality is more complicated. Some of those apps are excellent. Some are frustrating. A few are genuinely not worth your time. Most review sites don’t tell you that — either because they’re chasing commissions or because they haven’t actually spent enough time with the products to know the difference.

I got tired of reading reviews that told me nothing useful. So I built a site that does things differently.

How I Work

Every app I review is tested properly. I look at the things that actually matter to a bettor sitting on their couch trying to place a wager before kickoff — how fast the app loads, whether the markets are deep enough, how straightforward the withdrawal process is, and whether customer support is reachable when something goes wrong. I read the bonus terms so you don’t have to. I check licensing in every state. I note the weaknesses, not just the strengths.

I also take responsible gambling seriously. Every review on this site includes an assessment of the operator’s responsible gambling tools, and any app that makes those features difficult to find gets called out for it.

My Background

  • Nearly twenty years covering the US and international sports betting industry
  • Extensive experience testing sportsbook platforms across multiple US states
  • Thorough understanding of US gaming regulation and how licensing varies state by state

Independence

This site earns revenue through affiliate partnerships with licensed sportsbook operators. That means I receive a commission when readers sign up to a platform via a link on this site. I want to be upfront about that — you can read the full details on the Affiliate Disclosure page. What I won’t do is let those relationships shape what I write. A bad app stays a bad app regardless of what it pays.

Get in Touch

If you have a question, spotted something that needs updating, or just want to share your experience with an app I’ve reviewed, I’d like to hear from you. Use the Contact page and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
